Anyone else have steam radiators throughout their house and a baby?

This isn't an issue now, because it's summer and they're off, but my son uses our house's radiators as "pull myself up" areas. Presumably he'll be walking by the time we need to turn on the heat (though there's no guarantee of that) but I'm curious to know what other people have done to prevent babies from touching them. We rent, so a mive custom carpentry project to make covers for them (the apartment is old, they are all different sizes) seems foolish. They get quite hot and I recall my cousin burning his hand on one when I was a kid.
