Is atheism a form of fundamentalism?

as an atheist, I do agree with you that it is just disgusting for a scientist to be black listed for being a theist by their atheistic colleagues. I also agree with you on the fact that science doesn't disprove religion, nor does religion contradict science (at least not most modern-day religions anyway). I believe it was Newton who said something along the lines of God is a watchmaker and science is his schematic.
