Is Senator Clinton a socialist?

She recently stated that as President she would take all the oil companies profits & invest them in alternative energy options. Apparently she is unaware that these private companies are owned by their shareholders, not by the US government. Unless she intends to emulate Hugo Chavez & nationalize them, their profits go to shareholders through dividends.
