What are the worst things about Catholicism and what would you tell someone to keep them from converting?

My husbands sister is engaged, she is considering converting for a guy who isn't even serious about his own faith, what makes this worse is they would raise resulting kids catholic. Aside from the lack of birth control and covering up pedophilia, what other issues are there?
