Anyone in the U.S. Army Protective Services Battalion?

How often are you away from home? If you are a new CID agent right out of ASAC and get igned to the Protective Services BN at Ft Belvoir, how long do you have to be in this ignment before you can get a new one? My husband just got accepted to CID and found out PS BN will be his first ignment, and I want an honest answer about what to expect while he is doing this. I'm under the impression he'll be gone a LOT and be sent all over the place... Is this pretty much the deal?
