Anyone who owns small dogs?

My mom rescued a chihuahua for me as a surprise :) . I'm very excited. Im very curious to know how big a five pound dog is exactly though. I'm not with her so i havent seen the chi yet, can anyone give me a comparison to a household item that might be the size of the chihauhua? not weight wise, like as in size. it sounds tiny...
